Giving Orphans in Uganda a Hope and A Future

The AIDS epidemic, malaria and poverty that have ravished Africa has left an estimated 2.5 million Ugandan children homeless. New Vision Newspaper recently reported that 360 people die each day from Malaria alone.

Orphan's Plight

Sometimes the orphans are taken in by relatives or other villagers for compassionate reasons regardless of their own situation.

However, there are many children who simply live on the streets without family, food or a bed.

These children are candidates for VFAI's
Land of Hope Children's Homes and school in Mukono. However, they need a sponsor before they can attend school or move into one
of the Children's Homes if they
are too young for school.

These children, in their grandmother's care
help her fetch water which they carry a long distance

Many children often die because
they lack any medical attention

Children spend hours walking
to and from wells for water

Vision For Africa International (VFAI)

VFAI is a ministry dedicated to addressing the plight of Ugandan orphans. Through child sponsorship and special gifts, VFAI is nurturing and caring for orphaned children, with an education, spiritual life, shelter, food and clothing.

The pictures below show how VFAI is giving these orphans a future and a hope.
