Prison Misistry
Prison ministry:
Last week we had a meeting with the High Commissioner of all prisons in Uganda. I don’t know if I already told you about this. The Lord really opened a door for us, to serve the prisoners in the prison. With a team we are in the Maximum prison twice a week to preach them the truth that set them free, we bring them the love that heals them and we share the life that really satisfies – Jesus Christ.

The Lord granted us such a great favour that we are even allowed to record a videotape from the born again prisoners. The lives of these men are really renewed by the power of God. This video shall be finished by the end of the year, and we want to show this to all the churches where we are going to minister. We are still looking for sponsors, who have a special heart for prisoners! If you are the one, please let us know!

Besides this we can report, that our life is just busy here. For the projects we can report the following:

Boys Vocational School
Vocational Trade School for Boys (Woodworking)
The vocational training school for the boys (woodworking) has been finished. It is a very nice building, as you can see.
Now we are about to equip the school with all the needed tools and books, by which the budget and cost has been exceeded. We have found a headmaster who has worked for 20 years in one of the oldest vts in Uganda. It was founded by the White Fathers in 1911. He is a man with vision, and was tested during the many years in the school.

Girls Vocational Construction
Second Trade School Under Construction
The second vocational training school for girls is already under construction. Next week the walls will be build up. It will be a school for dressmaking, pottery and fabric processing. This school will be finished in January 2006.

New Primary school
Our primary school (7 classes) with two classes in every age group (14 classrooms) for 40 to 45 kids shall be finished in the next 4 to 6 weeks. Through the archbishop we have found a wonderful woman, who has led one of the best schools in Uganda for 30 years. She will help us to find very good teachers for our schools, and she supports us with all the needed information and details. I am very grateful for this cover and support, which we get through the different capacities in Uganda.

Children's Homes
Orphanages
Through the archbishop we will get the first children for the orphanages, which are all ready finished. Unfortunately the electricity and the water is still not fixed in the houses. But we trust that within the next 6 weeks it will be done.

We are fetching the rainwater, which is truly a good source. The pipes for the electricity are in the houses, just the connections are missing.
The first 7 children will come from Hoima (approximately 200 km away from Kampala). They were found in a very desolate condition and are now in a baby’s orphanage. One of the children was rescued out of a dramatic situation. He was about to be thrown into a public latrine pit. The boy is 4 years old and a very happy child. We are looking to find sponsors for these 8 children. The stories and all necessary information are in the Vision for Africa office in Imst.
Like everywhere else the official ways are not easy, and we trust, that we can welcome the children in our homes within the next 4 to 6 weeks.

Besides this we have a lot of work to furnish the houses, sewing curtains and so on. I have cultivated the compounds with the staff members, and we trust that in one year everything will look nice and green. We want our compounds to be a real pearl in that area.

Even the sponsorships are growing. By now (10/2005) we have 204 kindergarten kids, 2523 primary school kids, 1181 secondary kids, 22 students in universities and 92 vocational training school students. And we support 300 kids without any sponsors.

When you read these lines I will be in Germany for three weeks. It is a pleasure for me to tell you, that I was chosen to represent Austria during a great reconciliation conference in Berlin.

SOS!! We need your help!
Because the number of kids has been increased so fast, we are in need of a new computer program. Now we are working with a self-made excel program.
Therefore we need a new program, which is individually made for the work here in Uganda and Imst. It will help us to save time and will also help us to reduce the mistakes.
We will get a special price for this program, but still it is a lot of money.
Because we will not take the money from the sponsored kids, we thought, when every sponsor pays just 5 more Euros, we could afford this program.
Please help us! THANK YOU

Moreover we urgently need schoolbooks and tools for the vocational training schools, which we will start next February. The costs are much higher than our budget is.
What ever the Lord lays on your heart, we are grateful, when you please us this Christmas with this gift.

The next container is coming!
This container is ready in the shipping agency “Probst” in Esslingen. We are looking for our children’s homes and for all the needy children in the program the following:

Black Shoes (even large sizes), blankets, bed sheets and covers, towels, toys and clothes in all sizes and colors
Tools for gardening
Furniture, sofas, tables, chairs and lamps
Shelves (small shelves made out of light metal, lockable)

For the support of our printery (vocational training school) here in Uganda, we are looking for a media designer, who is able to work with soft and hardware.
A good knowledge of English is required.
Responsible for this is Horst Kukuk from Germany. For any questions please contact Horst Kukuk. Phone Germany 08654-50977.

May the Lord bless you richly – we always pray for the sponsors, that the Lord may satisfy all their needs, according to his riches in glory.
You are serving those who have no chance without your help.
The Lord may bless you. We thank you for your great support of this ministry!

Greetings from the team here in Uganda and Europe.
